Collaborations with other Artists
Often, I will work with another artist and convert their paintings into jewelry. Usually the process begins with designing a piece of jewelry around the painting the artist does…shrinking it…seeing how well it translates…what the work looks like in miniature…and then building a piece of jewelry that accentuates and complements the artists work.
All of the paintings that are used in the jewelry are Giclee prints of the original works…they are UV resistant…will not fade or change in color…and are archival…
By working in collaboration with another artist…the best of both worlds emerges…in many cases a person will wear a piece of jewelry made from a painting…and never consider purchasing that same painting….this method gives the buyer more choices…and offers a greater affordability…
