213. January 27th…Who said Dreaming is overrated????….

“The Signs are Everywhere” 2009

“Stand still. The trees ahead and bush beside you are not lost” – Albert Einstein

I have had lucid dreams again….over the last few years I’ve had very few dreams…enough to count on both hands with maybe a finger or 5 left over….what a wonderful time sleep has been this last week…it tells me something too….that I am at a place I have longed to be…a place that has added a great deal…to me… caused me to lose a great deal…and required a tremendous amount of work…to arrive…though something about arrival is really nothing more than getting to a place….the choices from that place become big…either stay in the room or go explore the world just outside the door with the “Do not disturb” sign option……..

Arrival is such a small part of any path to a destination…the trials and tribulations of the trek make the destination either a goal of necessity…or a place…that will eventually be…and simply put you will either get there or you won’t….and within that makes the destination the important aspect of the journey or just a pin on the map with no real importance other than reference….

To dream is so liberating…feels to me like flying….without wings…..I can go anywhere and do anything….and my destinations……I hope to see you there…..

  1. What a great song for today. Simple pleasures, quiet joys, clear beauties. Our brains are so incredible, with the parts that speak when the conscious mind goes to sleep. Your dreams must be wonderful lately. Maybe they’re here to stay.

I think you are right about arrival. It almost seems like a footnote, once all the work’s been done. But even arrival is a place of its own. It seems like a park bench to me, where a person sits to rest and watch everyone else doing all the work for a change.

Aye, laddie, the losses. But the gains as well.

Have a blessed day, Robert 🙂
