348. June 28th…life is far to “Juicy” …..to put in a to-go box….

“One Foot Long” 2009

“Like great works, deep feelings always mean more than they are conscious of saying.” ~ Albert Camus

when is perservering…not enough..and it just becomes a bad idea instead…..continue to pursue something that may have started out as a fantasy or may even have begun with a bit of reality but iced with….”No way on the planet“….under dog in nature…..yet has unfolded and shone a glimmer of the word next  to “Success‘…a small piece of the whole….but in the grand scheme of things….just may not  have a remote possibility….of fruition….for a variety of reason…and you are one of those reasons….maybe it’s the lack of skill or education …perhaps the knowledge….familiarity with the endeavor…. was weak…intention sounded good and maybe you even fooled yourself into believing….that not having enough money or experience…or fill in the blank….was enough to supercede the perils of business…or perhaps your risk didn’t exist…it was piled on someone else…like baggage on a Sherpa….or maybe you just lacked the passion to make it happen…..

it all reverts back to “Passion”….sure we can all be involved with things that completely lack the passion …but pad the checking account…and those are distractions from the heart of things…they are what allow us to live from day to day…not from heart beat to heart beat…..passion is what turns everything….moves it to places where people become weak in the knees….give themselves away….throw their arms up in surrender….life has some level of passion in each of us…..and maybe it’s a trip through the windshield at 75 miles per hour….or positive test results that stack life with a little more passion and a lot less of everything else…..that matters when it does…..

A man by the name of Henry Darger….lived an unbelievable life…institutionalized as a young child because of no place to go after his father’s death…he escaped from the….”Home for the Feeble Minded“…..at age 16 and took up a job as a janitor …he was a recluse….and over his life time he wrote and illustrated …”In the Realms of the Unreal“…a fictionalized story of the “Vivian Girls”  and of the “Glandeco-Angelinnian War Storm, Caused by the Child Slave Rebellion“…he had a vision….and that vision was infused with passion….so much so….he devoted his life to the book and the illustrations….never thought about what they were going to be…didn’t have a plan for what to do with the book when he was done…just did the work….

and maybe that’s what it all should be about…..anyone can be snatched off of the planet without a thought….and whether you believe there is something else…or not….terrific…but “right now“…is the only time right now exists….and better do something with it …..passion is like anything…the more we do it…the better we get at it……

“Nothing great in the world has ever been accomplished without passion.”…Hegel

  1. This is a beautiful post, Robert! A great shot in the arm, duly needed and appreciated.

We in America are brainwashed to believe there must always be more more more and we must do do do. But there are times when we should do nothing just to clear out inside. I think once that happens we stand the greatest chance for opportunities that allow us to blossom and share something with the world. It seems like more than anything we are creative channels for the universe. I don’t know how much we actually get to decide but what you’ve written here about the Now, the present moment that always IS, feels accurate. Thank you for sharing!
